Board of Trustees

In Ohio, a Public Library Board of Trustees member serves a term of four years, which is renewable. (Prior to 2026, terms were seven years; some Board Members are serving four year terms while others are serving seven year terms.) Because the State Library defines our library's geographical legal service area to be the area represented by the Archbold Area Local School District, and because Public Library Boards in Ohio have no authority to raise revenue, the Archbold Area Local School District Board of Education acts as our taxing authority.  Also because of this designation, the Local School Board appoints all members of the Archbold Community Library Board of Trustees.

Present trustees are:

  • Brent Gnagey - President - appointed January 14, 2026 (Board member since Jan. 12, 2022; term ends December 2028)
  • Janet Wyse -  Vice President - appointed  January 14, 2026 (Board member since March 8, 2023; term ends December 2029)
  • Greg Nafziger - Secretary - appointed January 14, 2026 (Board member since Jan. 1, 2021; term ends December 2027)
  • Andy Bentley - reappointed January 14, 2026 (Board member since March 13, 2019; term ends December 2029)
  • Jed Grisez - reappointed January 10, 2024 (Board member since 1996; term ends December 2030)
  • Andrea Stevens - appointed March 31, 2020 (Term ends December 2026)

The Board meets in the main reading room of the Library at 6 pm. Library Board meetings are open to the public.
